Getting Smart Town Hall: The Power of OST

WSCB IS PLEASED TO CROSS-PROMOTE GETTING SMART'S MONTHLY TOWN HALLS:  The world of work is shifting rapidly—industries are evolving, new careers are emerging, and the skills needed for success are constantly changing. How can we ensure young people are ready for this dynamic future? Out-of-School Time (OST) programs offer a powerful, yet often underutilized, solution for both career readiness and ecosystem development. Join us for the next Getting Smart Town Hall on April 11 at 9 am PST, where we’ll explore how OST can serve as a catalyst for preparing youth for the workforce of tomorrow. Through innovation, experiential learning, and real-world skill development, OST programs provide young people with opportunities to explore careers, build agency, and develop critical 21st-century competencies—creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and adaptability.
