Students Lead The Way

REAL-WORLD CHALLENGES

  • The Real World Challenge example we are going to focus on here is unique in that it is actually completely student driven. The students in this youth-led non-profit group called "Altruism" dedicated themselves to encouraging global literacy and found ways to make a difference. Their campaign revolved around collecting books and distributing them to schools and communities that server underprivileged youth. They are inspiring and kudos to the teachers they had who clearly focussed on skills and mindsets that led to these students to take agency and create purpose in their own work.

  • What evidence can you find that this real world challenge was impactful --consider both impact on the students and by the students?

What essential skills and competencies did you see demonstrated by the students?
