Co-Creating Classroom Agreements with Students
CARING AND CONNECTED COMMUNITIES
-
Ask students "What do you really need as a learner?" That can look different for every learner, and when students articulate those needs, they are learning to advocate for themselves and for the kind of classroom environment they need to be their fullest selves.
When you co-create classroom agreements, students feel like they've been included, and they know how to participate. They understand that they're part of a whole, so everything that they do contributes to that environment for themselves, and for their classmates.
