✅ [What School Could Be is proud to partner with the Second Class Foundation/Kevin Stoller to promote this very special film screening!] "In the small Northern Idaho town of Bonners Ferry, students and teachers face potential catastrophe every day. Their school, Valley View Elementary, was built in 1949 with recycled materials from a decommissioned World War II base. It has cracks in the walls, a leaky ceiling, and rusted plumbing - a hazardous combination that has faculty and school district leaders worried something disastrous could happen at any moment. In addition to the school, the Valley View community faces a larger problem - funding. Idaho is one of only two states in the country that requires a 66% majority to pass a bond for school facilities, making it nearly impossible for them to raise money and build a new school. Despite this continuous uphill battle, the staff at Valley View show up every day to create an engaging and welcoming learning environment for kids. Presented by Second Class Foundation www.secondclassfoundation.org and its partners." 🦋
